Webby Awards Announced

I noticed yesterday that the Webby Award winners have been announced.

Check out the Webby award winners and nominees at:

I’ve been spending the last 24 hours going through the sites of some of the winners and nominees. There are some really neat new sites to explore.

Ones that are new to me, and particularly neat:
Map24 – http://www.uk.map24.com/ – Check out this really neat mapping site. (I also noticed this site being mentioned on Rick’s Café Canadien today)

GRAVITY – http://art.teleportacia.org/exhibition/GRAVITY/ (Won people’s choice award for Net Art). Although I’ve lost all use for frames, I think this was a rather neat use of this dated web standard.

BBC Human Body – http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/ (Webby Award Winner for Education) – Really neat interactive human body site.

Exploratorium – http://www.exploratorium.edu/ (Webby Award Winner for Science) – Excellent site for science buffs and educators.

Ahhh … so many more to explore.
