A representative from Sask. Power has asked me to advertise an Instructional Design position which will originate from Weyburn, Saskatchewan. The official position is labelled a Education and Performance Support Specialist. Details follow:

The Position: In an instructional designer role, you will develop, implement and sustainInstructional Systems Design (ISD) processes in support of SaskPower’s training programs, consulting with key stakeholders across the province and coaching training personnel in adulteducation and evaluation principles. This position will play a lead role in the research and development of a “blended” approach to competency-based learning using traditional anddistance learning methods.

The Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelors degree in education with a major inCareer and Technology studies or a degree in Adult Education, Educational Technology, Corporate Training and Development programs, or Educational Administration, supplemented by3 years’ experience in the areas of ISD, e-learning, corporate training, team building and project management. Preference will be given to students exiting a Master’s program. The successfulcandidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
