This award winning short was created by filmmaker Bruce Branit, widely known as the co-creator of ‘405′. World Builder was shot in a single day followed by about 2 years of post production. Branit is the owner of Branit VFX based in Kansas City.

    Fabulous video and story (though I did guess it 3/4 the way through). What great 3D building tools!

    I wonder why the caption describes the actor as a “strange man”

    @Alan: I was wondering about ’strange” myself, but passed if off as the often ambiguous descriptors writers would give early Sci-fi literary pieces. For instance, I remember a lot of Twilight Zone episodes having really odd descriptions as to not give away the mystery of the plot. I’m not sure if it worked this time, as I figured it out as well. However, I think it may have less to do with the way Branit put this together, and more to our exposure of the genre.
