Use Gmail File Storage Via gDisk

On one of our Edtech Posse podcasts, I mentioned that I use my Gmail account less for mail, and moreso for its file storage capacity. As I am primarily a Mac user, I use a neat little application called gDisk.

gDisk is a software that turns your GMail account into a portable hard drive so you can always have your important files accessible accross the Internet.

It’s incredibly easy to use, and gives you easy access to your growing disk capacity at Gmail. For those that still have a .Mac account, here’s yet another reason to let it go.

  1. Alec,

This is a sweet little application. Thanks for sharing. Do you know if there is something comparable for the PC? I’m primarily a Mac user, but I’d certainly like a similar tool for the PC. I’m thinking of a file that’s too large to send via email.

    Thanks!
