Yup, the rumours are true.
I’ve been keeping away from this story, mostly because of disappointment and denial, but yeah, it has been officially announced that Apple Computer is undergoing a major platform change and will now use Intel chips in new hardware by the end of 2007. I am not sure what this means for the future of Apple, but it will be an interesting transition.
