I just found this great little utility that allows you to turn/redirect a relatively long URL link such as this:

http://www.educationaltechnology.ca/opensource/apps.html

almost instantly into a much more manageable sized link, such as this:

http://tinyurl.com/yrd8a

The utility can be found at http://www.tinyurl.com, and is very easy to use. It’s especially helpful when pasting those long URLs into email messages (recipients no longer have to splice portions of URLs together again).
